Best sushi around!!! Bar none! I go there for lunch almost weekly and love the lunch combos... Always great service, quality, and prices.... My usuals are the combo 6 (it's a great value and plenty to eat). For those that prefer cooked food, their bento box is very good as well. All the combos come with soup or salad (both miso soup and ginger salad are great) Their seaweed salad is also very good quality. Sometimes we bring a big group and the happily prepare some items early to get us in and out quickly during workdays. The waitress always knows our regular orders.

Real chill interior with good atmosphere. I had the Sushi 5 a salad with house ginger dressing and miso soup. The salad was fresh and crisp dressing. The sushi was absolutely amazing. Fresh tuna, salmon, and a white fish I didn't know what it was but it was still good. The price was decent to for what you are getting. Glad we stopped for lunch.

I've been eating here for over 20 years and never miss a meal here when visiting melbourne. Super chill inside and nothing has really changed over the years. Can't wait to go back! Even my picky grandma likes it....

Family owned and operated since I was just a child this place beats everyone hands down in ingredients and service everytime.

Hioki's is probably my favorite spot to spend my lunch break. I love getting the bento box with the catch of the day ($10.50). It comes with soup or salad, seaweed salad, mini shrimp tempura, california rolls, rice, and fruit. Everyone has always been super friendly whenever I'm there, and the service is quick. Maybe one day, I'll venture out and try their sushi; I hear that it's delicious as well :)

Great little sushi spot. It's small, intimate and clean, and the service was excellent. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, and it was honestly the best I've ever had. Tender, crispy, and served with a spicy, creamy mango sauce. For sushi, we ordered spicy tuna, Florida (conch, scallion, soy wrapper), and salmon with fresh cucumber and cream cheese. Each roll was flavorful, though a bit small. I liked the spicy tuna best, but the Florida roll was unique and delicious. The salmon roll was fresh, too, and I was so happy to find a good portion of salmon in each roll. I really liked this place. If we lived closer I'd definitely be a regular!

Based on the reviews, I expected more. The sushi and service were both good, however, nothing was particularly memorable other than the miso soup which was not as sodium fueled as most places. I guess I expected to be really "wowed"...yelp at your own discretion.

This is the best secret in Brevard! I love this place, the bento box is my favourite order, although I've tried multiple appetisers and all were delicious. Mr. Hioki is usually the one cutting your sushi and the waitresses All learn your idiosyncrasies very quickly. A great local small business. I can be picky and they never fail to please/

Sat at the sushi bar to try the nigiri sushi. The sushi chef/owner is a Japanese guy from Japan, and a woman who I believe is his wife works the tables. And yes, he knows how to make sushi. I finally found a decent sushi bar in Melbourne! I'll have to go back to try the rest of the menu, but it might be hard not to sit at the sushi bar every time I come here.

HIOKIS is a great little place on US1 with delicious Japanese inspired food. I love the pineapple tempura shrimp. I go often for lunch and am never disappointed. Fresh, healthy, consistent and homemade. The salad has the ginger dressing and you can take a bottle home. My boss loves the sashimi and also is never disappointed. The fish is always top notch and locally caught. Family owned and operated, this riverview spot should not be overlooked if you love Asian food.

Came here bc of good Yelp reviews. Lived up to expectations. Service and food were both exceptional. Sushi was fresh and portions were generous. Would def return if back in the area again.

Gave this place a try last night. Very happy, good food good price good service. This place is pretty old and I can see why they have been open for so long.

Stopped by couple days ago. Salad was fresh and tasted good but my beef was over cooked and also the quality was not good either . But compared to what I paid , no complain. Service was good. Also I ordered salmon nigiri, really disappointed. Not sure if the chef learned how to make sushi. You can never find the nigiri made like this in authentic Japanese restaurant and nigiri are never sold by single instead of pairs. Over all not bad experience, but I will not call it authentic and will not try again.

Great sushi in a place I didn't expect to be great. We were there for lunch and had the Salmon Skin and Florida rolls from the normal menu. We also had the Jalapeño Tuna roll and Crunchy Calamari roll from the specials board. All four were excellent. I will be back.

Just moved to Palm Bay from Titusville and was craving sushi so I researched on my phone and found this app! After reading the reviews I decided in this place! My husband, daughter and I entered and were immediately greeted with the most friendly smile I have seen since moving here! We were instantly seated and met by our waiter who was very helpful in explaining the menu! I Besides my daughter finding a hair in the boat that we shared our dinner was great! My hubby who had the mixed box was also throughly satisfied! Its located across from the river so seeing the lights on the water was relaxing!

While the servers were excellent, the food was not that good. The shrimp tempura seemed very old and the corn tempura had an old musty taste to it. The other vegetables were ok, but nothing exciting. The chocolate cake at the end was way overpriced and not very fresh, it had some crusty stale edges -- kind of disgusting otherwise. There was a fishy smell when we first walked in as well -- We won't be going back as the food was lousy and the smell a bit too powerful.

As good as the sushi is, the grilled fish is excellent, too. The ginger salad dressing is delicious. I have catered from here and they did a beautiful job - perfect meal for a late Saturday night team meal at work. I have been known to eat here so often that the owner's remind me when they'll be closed - and I appreciate the reminder.

Hioki's has true Japanese sushi. Priority number one here is presenting the freshest fish simply. They do have Americanized fried monster rolls for those of you that insist, but when you are ready to experience traditional, fresh sushi, check this place out!!

Hoiki's feels like a hole in the wall, but is just across the road from a gorgeous river view. Super attentive staff despite being packed at lunch. The prices are very reasonable and the sushi is delicious.

Everyone here had a smile on their face and looked genuinely happy to be preparing and serving food! I came with a hankering for ramen, which is unfortunately not served here -- they definitely focus on the fish. Instead, I had the una don (smoked eel over white rice & eel sauce.) It was simply perfect. I'm a huge eel fan (despite it not being the healthiest choice!) and this was definitely some of the freshest, best eel I've had yet. The prices were fair, the service was quick and friendly, the sushi menu was generous, while the rest of the menu was appropriately quaint. This is an excellent place to go if you are looking for the best Japanese-prepared fish.

This restaurant, along with a few good friends of mine, is completely responsible for my transition into the world of sushi. The first visit, I ordered their Teriyaki Salmon, which was delicious. The portion was just right, although I did leave some rice behind. I highly recommend this cooked meal. During this first visit, I tried some of the sushi. I wasn't sure at first, but it quickly grew on me and I had to have more. Now I am a frequent visitor to Hioki's for lunch, as we go about every 2 weeks. I typically order the Combo #6, which has a great mixture of sushi, sashimi, seaweed salad, and it starts off with a ginger dressing salad. There are many different sushi rolls to enjoy there and also many cooked food options which my fellow guests have ordered and enjoyed. Honestly, after that first visit, I have not ordered anything but the Combo #6 for lunch. For dinner, the price goes up, but so do the portions, with the Combo #6 arriving on a wooden boat! If it is a date meal, I recommend a table for two by the window which provides a great river view.

The fish here is very fresh and I really appreciate that. The service is good too. The people here are very nice. The restaurant is small and comfortable.
